Join Our Maritime Industry
The commercial entity of the Trinidad and Tobago Shipbuilding & Repair Maritime Cluster, is known as the Shipbuilding and Repair Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (SRDC).
It was Registered on the 18th August, 2009 as a 'For Profit' Company in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, under THE COMPANIES ACT, 1995. (Act No. 35 of 1995). As amended by the Companies (Amendment) Act, 1997 (Act No. 5 of 1997) by the Office of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs, Registrar General's Department.
Our SRDC commercial entity undertakes a number of maritime-related projects and activities, which includes shipbuilding, ship repairs, shipyard development, maritime publications, maritime trade-show pavilions and shipyard tours, to name a few of the many initiatives it successfully undertakes.
Wilfred was nominated and elected to serve as Deputy Leader of the Trinidad and Tobago Shipbuilding & Repair Maritime Cluster (TTSRMC) in 2008, by industry stakeholders.
Today, he leads both the TTSRMC and the SRDC and is very passionate and focused on developing the maritime industry in Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean.
His achievements include piloting both maritime organizations to become the largest of their kind, in the region. Being born and anchored into a noble maritime family, his Father was a Able-Bodied (AB) international seaman for 7-years and his eldest brother, being a Master Mariner (Unlimited Tonnage).
As an accredited maritime journalist, having several articles published in local, regional and global shipping journals, including Maritime Reporter and Engineering News, LNG World Shipping and Caribbean Maritime. Wilfred also enjoys being a part-time maritime guest lecturer at the Lok-Jack Global School of Business.
Lucyann holds ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) accreditation in Accounting and Finance and is a Forensic Accountant / Anti Money Laundering Compliance Officer and Certified Fraud Examiner.
She was a part-time lecturer at College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago (COSTAATT) and operates her own accounting practice at Henry Tyson & Associates.
At present, she is completing her MBA at the UWI-Lok Jack Global School of Business at their Mt. Hope campus, in Trinidad and Tobago.
Deisy joined the TTSRMC as a internship student, in 2018 and quickly rose through the ranks to become Office Manager and a SRDC Director on the 19th March, 2019.
She is bilingual and fluent in both English and Spanish and is the Founder and Chairwoman of FUNDAJUVENTUD established in 2002, as a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Tucupita, Delta Amarcuro State, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. Deisy is also the recipient of the Orden Honor al Merito received on the 12th February, 2005 from the government of the Delta Amacuro State.
In June, 2022, she was invited and participated at the IX Summit of the Americas (Civil Society Forum) held in Los Angeles, California. This OAS hemispheric event was hosted by the U.S. Department of State and inaugurated by the 46th President of the United States of America Joseph R. Biden Jnr.
Yuhanna has been with the SRDC, since inception. He is an experienced owner of Heritage Designs and Developments Limited having a demonstrated history of working in the maritime and construction industry and being skilled in Contract Negotiation, Architectural Design, Civil/Structural Design, Value Engineering, Reinforced Concrete and Steel Structures.
In 2009, he gained a Licentiateship award in Construction (LCGI) from City and Guilds of London Institute and is also a graduate of Edexcel International.
He is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE), International Institute of Marine Surveying and the Royal Institute of Naval Architects.
Gerald, aka 'Gerry' is a marine engineer by profession and also owner of J-MEC Limited which is a leading marine electrical / service repair company in Trinidad and Tobago.
J-MEC is a member of ISES Association which is an organisation whose members have all been carefully selected to ensure that the Association maintains a very high level of dedicated and specialised expertise to ensure customer satisfaction, wherever in the world they are called upon to provide a service.
He continues to diligently serve on the SRDC Board, since inception and was one of the first stakeholders to also register his company with the Trinidad and Tobago Shipbuilding & Repair Maritime Cluster in 2008.
